InSEA REGIONS InSEA has six regions:
Each InSEA region is represented by three elected members in the InSEA World Council. Council members represent the region world wide and they are responsible to the General Assembly of the Society which meets every three years at each World Congress. The InSEA regions may convenene Regional Councils (e.g. the European Reginal Council) formed of representatives of the Recognised National Organisations in each region. Each region may host a congress in years other than years when a world
congress is scheduled. Regional Congresses provide an opportunity for
regional focus to be given to international issues. Programmes are similar
to World Congress programmes and Research Conferences may be held in conjunction
with the main event. Recent regional congresses have been held in the
Scandinavia & the Baltic States and in Turkey. Future regional congresses
are planned for: Beijing (december 2004) |
