Asia Regional Council (ARC InSEA) was approved in the InSEA World Council meeting on 5th January 2019. The purpose of the organization is to:

  1. collaborate on research and practice to promote art education in Asia;

  2. act on behalf of the International Society for Education through art with regard to international activities and networks in the countries of Asia (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Cambodia, China, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, North Korea, South Laos, Macau, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam);

  3. enhance international relationships among national art education organizations and other InSEA affiliated organizations throughout Asia

 

ELECTIONS 2019

According to the ARC Bylaws, the Executive Board consists of persons: Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer. In the Executive Board at least three different countries must be represented and no more than two persons from the same country can be members of the Executive Board.

The first office of the Executive Board will serve a three-year term. Afterward, the term of office of the Executive Board will be two years (in alternate years to World Congress). Elections will place through online and all members (organizations) have one vote.

Art Writer Award for High School Students

The Art Writer Award for High School Students is an essay contest for high school students that gives them the opportunity to develop the ability to convey their ideas and think about art in their own words. Applicants must be high school students or students attending a public institution equivalent to high school. For applicants from outside of Japan, applicants must be students attending a public institution equivalent to an upper secondary school (high school) in the applicable country.
