IMAG, the International Visual Journal for Art Education, is InSEA's flagship open-access, peer-reviewed publication. Since 2014, it has provided a unique platform where images are more than just supplementary to text.
In keeping with InSEA's mission, IMAG encourages international cooperation and understanding by sharing experience and practice of art across all educational contexts in formal classrooms, community studios, informal learning spaces, and beyond.
Submissions represent art education theory and practice principally using visual methods and media. Every issue of IMAG is co-shaped by editors, authors, and our graphic designer, resulting in publications that are as visually considered as the work they represent.
Share your practice with the world
IMAG invites visual essays from art educators, researchers, practitioners, and students at all career stages. We welcome work that reflects on art education in any context; formal or informal, local or global.
Submissions open to all. Publishing is a membership benefit: accepted authors are invited to join or renew their InSEA membership before publication.
