Art educators live and thrive in and on the Crossroads.
We continually find ourselves within planned and unplanned circumstances that lead from one place, style, pedagogy, medium, and/or interaction with another. Whether for ourselves or with our work with others, crossroads at times can be intentional, shaking up our routines, and at other times a surprise, a serendipitous event that can lead to a new direction.
The following visual essays offer a wide perspective on how crossroads have influenced the authors’ practices. In each case, there has been movement from one starting point to another that invariably leads to keen insight.
