At InSEA, we believe that art transforms people’s lives.
Gifts in Wills are an important and crucial source of funding, providing lasting support which will help to safeguard InSEA’s ability to enrich more people’s lives now and in the future. Remember InSEA in your will
There are many ways you can make a gift which is both simple and efficient:
Residuary: the amount left over after all other costs, for example, funeral expenses, have been deducted
Pecuniary: a fixed sum of money
Specific: a gift of a particular named item, for example, a painting, building or land
Reversionary: a gift to a loved one for use during his or her lifetime which can then be passed onto a specified charity after this time
Leaving a gift in your will is an effective lasting contribution without any immediate outlay. Legacies left to charities are free from inheritance tax, which means a legacy could result in your tax bill being reduced.
If you have already made a will, you can add an amendment, known as a codicil, which InSEA can provide for you. We do recommend that you consult with your legal advisor when deciding upon making a legacy.
By making a gift to InSEA, you are recognising the work that we do and the difference we make to people’s lives. No gift is too large or too small. Whatever the size, your gift can and will make a difference.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Candidate for World Councillor: Africa and The Middle East Region
My overarching concern is to increase InSEA membership in my region, particularly across sub-Saharan Africa. As a current World Councillor, I have been encouraged by the growing awareness among art educators in the sub-region regarding the relevance of InSEA as a leading global advocate for art education. However, this awareness has not yet translated into a strong willingness to become active members. Together with my two AME colleague World Councillors, I intend to intensify our efforts and strategically promote InSEA’s vision and values. Our objective goes beyond simply increasing membership; we aim to inspire art educators by highlighting how InSEA membership can meaningfully align with their professional goals and enrich their contributions to the field. If re-elected as a World Councillor for the 2025–2027 term, I am committed to continuing my active participation in all InSEA activities, both at the AME regional level and within the World Council. I will work diligently to ensure that the voices and perspectives of African art educators are amplified within the global discourse of art education advocacy.

Candidate for World Councillor: Africa and The Middle East Region
Being an InSEA representative for Africa and the Middle East has been my honor and privilege. Working with my colleagues has deepened my understanding of the unique challenges Art teachers face in the AME region. It is my absolute privilege to teach high school Art and, as Art Coordinator, implement a progressive Art curriculum that empowers each child to reach their full potential. Last year, while volunteering as a World Counsellor, I co-hosted an insightful webinar on Artificial Intelligence and a "History of InSEA" event that explored InSEA's post-WWII origins. Our AME councillors reached out across our region to build our Art educators community through a bilingual AME Survey for Regional Members, giving a deeper insight into our region's unique challenges. With your support, I would like to develop more multilingual seminars and outreach strategies that help deepen our ties and understanding of the significance of Art education in Africa and the Middle East. By working together, we can build upon our successes, strengthen community ties, and gain greater representation for Art Educators from Africa and the Middle East.
